Is Matty Rottenus Scamming People?
Did you give Matt Neudorf (aka Matty Rottenus) money because you believed he had cancer? Has he threatened or harassed you?
Lots of people in Victoria, BC gave Matty money in 2009 and 2010 because he told them he needed cash for cancer treatments. As
far as we can tell, he spent it all on drugs, booze, and fancy clothes.
We know this because he admitted it. Then he left town.
After we caught Matt in a much smaller lie, the truth came out about other abuses, bullying, and manipulation.
Matt started sending us hate mail. He's threatened to go to the
police and take us to court. But he doesn't have a case.
He
is casting himself as a victim and claiming we "ruined his life." We
suggest he did it to himself. We shone a light on his dishonesty and
made it impossible for him to keep manipulating people.
There is no question Matt is a thief. He was convicted of theft under $5000.
We did not do this to Matt. His criminal record is his own problem.
There is no question Matt is a bully, based on the threats he has been sending us for over 10 years.
Here's an excerpt from the first note after we questioned Matt
about his inconsistent stories but before we made these issues public.

Matt is demanding we retract this post. We will, as soon as he makes amends for his destructive behaviour.1) Apologize for the harassment and the lies.
2) Pay back the money he took.
Otherwise, how can people trust him not to lie, steal, and abuse them?
As of February 2023, more than 12 YEARS after this information first came to light, this loser is still harassing us and claiming we destroyed
his life. Imagine spending over a decade on a campaign to blame an innocent bystander for your own crimes. Funny or tragic? Maybe both.

No, YOU'RE the one threatening to ruin and discredit people. WE gave you money and took care of you.

UPDATE 3: Matt left us a couple of voice mail messages in November 2011.
He ranted for almost an hour in a "scary" voice. He gave instructions to meet with some unspecified person at an unspecified place who would deliver some documents allegedly proving Matt is not a psycho bully, "and you better do it or else there will be terrible consequences." Hmm.
The unidentified person never materialized. No documents were delivered and several sources have confirmed that Matt was not ill while he was taking cash from our friends and spending it on drugs and clothes.
